X-Powers AXP PMICs

X-Powers is a sister company of Allwinner, producing power management ICs (PMICs). A PMIC's main task is to provide different voltages to the board and SoC: for consumers like SD cards, WiFi, HDMI, DRAM, GPU, the CPU cores, etc. Those voltage rails are programmable, via an I2C and/or RSB interface. On top of this core functionality, many PMICs contain related functionality, like a battery charging circuit, taking USB input power into account and allowing seamless switching between battery and USB power. Also many PMICs contain a power key pin, that allows to turn the system off and on, without software intervention.
