The Allwinner A10 (aka sun4i) is a Cortex-A8 of 55nm with Mali400 GPU and Cedar Engine VPU.
Overview
Main components of the A10
- CPU: Cortex-A8 1GHz (ARM v7) Processor which have both VFPv3 and NEON co-processors:
- FPU: standard ARM VFPv3 FPU Floating Point Unit
- SIMD: NEON (ARM's extended general-purpose SIMD vector processing extension engine)
- GPU: Mali400
- VPU: Cedar Engine (Video Processor Unit for audio and video hardware decoding or encoding)
- HDMI-transmitter: HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control)
Contrary what mis-marketing would like people to believe, the Allwinner A10 does only seldomly clocks beyond 1008MHz. Usually, the marketing info likes to state 1.2GHz, which is definitely not possible.
